Where to Begin
First time students often start with our recorded Underwater Words Workshop, a recording of a live event with Ash that takes her students through a deep and generative reseeding of their creative and emotional coffers.
Many then enroll in Fall Poetry, a 9-week group course that nourishes the creative process and inspires body & mind wellness along the way. This course gives you the chance to write poetry, receive feedback, and unleash your voice.
The new year brings Winter Storytelling, followed by Spring Fiction, and Summer Memoirs. All of the seasonal group courses are live 9-week dives into the art of the art, and the discipline and dedication to wellness throughout our lives.
Live Seaweed Summons are offered throughout the year to the public. Students of the Submergence Yearlong Immersion receive access to these recorded workshops for free.
The Submergence Yearlong Immersion is for the dedicated student who believes in the power of narrative healing that wants to partake in all of the courses and workshops offered, access to all of Ash’s developed tools, and stay connected to the other poets, writers, and storyteller that enter Submergence: A Creative Writer’s Chamber through the online community and cowriting opportunities.
Submergence: A Creative Writer’s Chamber is the library, resource center, and community gathering place of The Storybreath School. All students enter the classroom of their course through the common area of Submergence and have access to all of the additional materials, prompts, and community events hosted there during their active time as a student.
Spoken Empowerment
Ash takes on a limited number of 1:1 private clients for writing, communication, and creative process coaching each season. Read more about that support here.
