ABOUT ASH WYLDER

The Storybreath School’s Founder and Instructor

Ash (she/her) loves brains and creative writing.

This passion led her to the High Performance Institute and its top-level, science-backed curriculum. She is one of 700 elite Certified High Performance Coaches in the world. She knows the neuroscience behind communication habits and how to help her clients and writing students have a fully connected embodied experience while speaking (or writing).

Her personal journey with trauma and PTSD led her to learn trauma-informed practices and somatic-processing techniques. This knowledge helped her clear away the harmful parts of the self-help industry and build powerful and safe containers with her clients.

The research is clear—our bodies affect our creativity.

When we think about creativity, storytelling, writing, and communication, we assume it all lives in our heads, but science shows that connection is a connected experience. Working with the body reduces stress, stutter, and stuckness, and working with communication habits increases clarity, confidence, and connection between people. Ash has used that knowledge to influence her work with the NWSL, MLS, NBA, PGA, and Olympic athletes from various disciplines for 6+ years.

She studies the neuroscience that drives human behavior. The research is clear: connecting powerful habits with body awareness and human connection is the roadmap to understanding powerful, honest, and embodied communication.

Neuroscience can teach you the difference between someone else’s voice and your own, and The Storybreath School can teach you to leverage the science of habits so you can speak, write, and tell meaningful stories powerfully.

THE NEUROSCIENCE
OF CONNECTION

Many people find themselves completely overwhelmed, exhausted, and pulled in too many directions. They feel unable to express themselves and trapped by the fear of other people’s perceptions because they still need to learn the habits that make a sustainable difference.

They think managing anxiety and ignoring fear will unleash their true voice, but it doesn’t. The truth is they need to implement the same habits used by elite athletes, artists, and top performing business owners in order to connect soul-to-soul with others.

Decades of scientific studies across many disciplines back up these counter-intuitive techniques: they need to develop self-awareness, simplify complex ideas, and take breaks. Their unconscious minds need to process what their conscious minds have been focused on - that’s where the breakthroughs happen.

My insight was developed over time through education, training, and working with elite Olympic athletes. They understand the difference between hustle and discipline, visualize their performance, and ask for help when needed. This helps them perform at the highest levels, balance their priorities, and stay centered. I implemented these very specific habits into my own life as a business owner, creative writer, and coach, transforming my self-esteem, relationships, and trust in my mythopoetic identity’s guidance.

There are reasons why people can perform at these elite levels. Whether they are top artists, athletes, or business leaders, they know the quality of their habits determines their ability to communicate clearly.

By learning to follow your intuition and implementing these same techniques, you can reach the next level in your writing too. Making these small shifts is powerful, and you will immediately notice the difference in both your creative process and your relationships with yourself and others (like your muse). I can teach you how.
