Bring the experience of an artist residency directly to your residents.

The Writing Residency for Residents invites your community to slow down, reflect, and create. Over the course of three months, residents work on personal writing projects — from family stories and poems to letters and essays — in a supportive, high-end arts environment guided by trauma-informed writing coach Ash Wylder.

Every session blends gentle writing prompts, group conversation, and personalized feedback. The residency concludes with a celebratory gathering — a reading or printed anthology — honoring the creative spirit that lives within every resident.

Why It Matters

Writing helps people find meaning, connection, and continuity.
For older adults, it offers a way to celebrate life’s complexity and share stories that might otherwise be lost.

Unlike an activity or class, this is a true artist-in-residence experience — a dedicated creative space that brings the dignity and inspiration of the arts directly into your community.
